His work is built around the landscape, or more precisely, the observation of nature: nature reinvented, wild, archaic, teeming, mysterious, changing and luminous. The artist is not concerned with representation; there is no figuration to speak of in his work. The subject remains a pretext. She is impregnated, imprinted and impressed by the world she sees and which surrounds her, but she paints shadow, light, the exuberance of colors or materials, the transparency of water or atmosphere.
The artist has always used the same medium, the medium used before her by all painters of the modern and classical eras: oil paint. She has superbly reappropriated it, making its constraints - complexity, slowness and superimposition - the very framework of her work.
The poem that runs through the painter and her work cannot be ignored.
This one exposed us
Listen and you'll recognize the Living
Ink and stars
Beauty subjects us to that which precedes us
Just to be there...
We'll have to forget the birds of the field to bury ourselves in the athanor.
Crossing vegetation, absence and slowness.
Let them consume us.
